Born into a professional theatre family, Rafe has been acting and performing since infancy. His extensive background in children's theatre, leading roles in WSU summer stock, a Music Education degree from WWU, hundreds of singing telegrams, rock band experience and studio guitar gigs lend Rafe valuable experience in a variety of entertainment modes. His music education experience as a private guitar instructor, a teacher and band director in Bellingham, Burlington and Tacoma School districts, the music director at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Anacortes and his current position as Music Director at Charles Wright bespeak his professional credentials.
Besides being a fantastic actor, vocalist and guitarist, he's a gifted comedic improvisational artist who comes up with very off-beat and brilliant scenarios. A very, very funny man who leaves you with hilarious, indelible memories. Make sure to view his mini-videos of Cletus and The Rock Star for just a small sampling of what he can do.

"Hi Sharon, Thank you so much for recommending Rafe Wadleigh for us to hire for our granddaughter Emma! As you know, she was graduating from UW and having a virtual celebration because of COVID 19. Our family lives across the US and we could not congregate for our usual celebration. So we planned a Zoom talk with Emma and the family prior to the virtual ceremony. We wanted to do something special for her, so we had Rafe “break in”, dressed as a rock star, and sing You Are A Champion ( ala We Are the Champions by Queen ). Along the way, he teased her about a few things and even spoke to her in pidgin Japanese as Emma will be going there to teach post graduation. He was hilarious, his timing was perfect, the song was over the top fun and I would hire him in a minute for anything similar. He was awesome to work with in planning for the event and learning more about Emma so that it would be very personal." Diane True
