In 1971, a young group of musicians began to play vintage rock 'n' roll in the Greater Puget Sound region. They called themselves: "THE GREAT PRETENDERS." The name became synonymous with fabulous, danceable music of the fifties, sixties and seventies. Today, almost 37 years later, The Great Pretenders continue to perform the music that has become legendary.
From mellow love ballads to easy rock to hard drivin' rock 'n' roll, The Great Pretenders cater to all ages of music lovers. The band has performed at clubs, casinos, conventions, private parties, corporate events, festivals and even for the United States Air Force. The boys have opened for "Paul Revere and the Raiders," "Stars of the Eighties" and others.
Every member of The Great Pretenders is an accomplished musician in his own right. The guys are great, the music is fun and all who are fortunate enough to hear them go home smiling and humming. The band would love to play for your event. The end result will be memorable and a great success.
