What areas does Live Wires service?

We book performers for all areas in Washington State and interstate if travel/lodging is compensated.

What are your business hours?

We answer telephones from 9 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday.  We usually monitor voicemail and email messages.

Is there anything I should know about Live Wires' history and reputation?

Yes, you should know that Live Wires has been in business since October, 1981 and is very big-hearted and trustworthy and has a very good reputation for doing excellent work and for being very conscientious about client relationships.

If I need to communicate with you after I book, how do I best contact you?

If I book a specific performer for a booking, will that request be honored?

Yes, of course.  In the event of an emergency, we will contact you to approve any substitutions.

Are the photos of the performers up-to-date and accurate?

Some performers may have changed hair color or lost or gained a little weight, but they are generally accurate.  But photos are still only photos -- most people look better in person.

Will the performer call me to confirm the booking?

The performer does not need to place a confirmation call to you --- the booking is confirmed when you book.  Performers may call you for any needed clarification (party details, directions, etc.).  Comic roasting/toasting performers call you to get background details on the recipient.

What if the performer does not show up?  I have heard horror stories about other companies . . .

WE SHOW UP!  Absent being hit by a truck or going into emergency labor, we show up!

Are there any additional charges than the prices quoted on the website?

          There are additional charges for:

  • Travel outside of the core Seattle area
  • Downtown parking
  • Performance times that start prior to 9:00am or after 12:00 Midnight
  • Customized songs that include input from the client
  • Learning a new song
  • More than one song or roast per performance
  • Balloons, candy, flowers and gifts

What payment methods do you accept?

  • Checks (only from previous or corporate clients)

Are the characters depicted on the website the only ones you perform?

We perform a multitude of characters, only some of which are depicted on the website.  We also will perform custom characters of your design, although you may incur additional costs for costume rental if the costume needed is not part of our wardrobe.

Are the performers depicted on the website the only ones you book?

We book many other performers who are not yet on our website.  The site is an ongoing piece of work wherein we constantly add more performers.

Why can't I book on line?

Our representatives know our performers inside and out, backwards and forwards, and their expertise is necessary to the booking process.

Am I "allowed" to tip the performers?

If you are so thoughtful and generous to tip performers extra money in appreciation of their talent, guts, charm, intelligence and hard work, you are not only appreciated by the performers but our office staff also holds you in high esteem.

Okay, so if I am allowed to tip them, what is the proper amount?

The proper amount is what you can comfortably afford.
