Pyrosutra
Pyrosutra is a troupe of professional performance artists with years
of experience from street to stage. We stand apart from other performance
groups by creatively incorporating fire into the dance, gymnastics and
intimate interaction of the choreography of our routines. As a group
our unique combination of skills with dance, fire, stilts, character design
and costume design create spectacular theatrical shows filled with diverse
styles and themes. Our fantastic costume and set designers and can
create a show to fit any theme you can imagine.
Pyrosutra offers a wide selection of fire performances that include: fire
eaters, fire breathers, finger torches, palm torches, fans, chains (poi),
staff, double staff, swords, and stilt walking. We also have a selection
of non-fire acts such as black light (UV) shows using poi and flags, belly
dance, fan dancing, ambient characters, stilt walking, hula-hooping and
much, much more. We can provide you with anywhere from 2 to 10 male
and female performers.
Raqs Serpentine
Raqs Serpentine is a modern belly dance troupe rooted in ancient tradition. Our style has been described as modern dance meets belly dance and belly dance theatre. We follow our hearts and fuse many elements that call to us such as: Indian classical dance, American Tribal Style, Classical Egyptian Cabaret, Modern Dance, fire performance and story telling. Our vision is to honor the roots of the dance and its constant evolution as it changes the people it touches and the people it touches change it.
