Live Wires Gallery of JACKIE EDWARDS
Jacqueline Edwards has been a veteran of the performing
arts in the Seattle area for over twenty years. Her training began
at the age of five on the piano and from there she started singing and
worked her way into the title of Miss Lewis County, earning herself a
non-finalist talent award at the Miss Washington pageant. She received
her BFA in theater from Pacific Lutheran University and over the years
she has played a variety of roles, from vixens, leading ladies, ingénues,
and evil temptresses to an assortment of odd characters. She has
shown herself to be versatile and equally adept at all. Some of
her favorite roles have included Dolly Levi in "Hello Dolly" with the
Mountaineer Players, Aldonza in "Man of LaMancha" at Renton Civic Theater,
Audrey in "Little Shop of Horrors" at Tacoma Little Theater, and most
recently as the belly dancing vixen Azuri in "Desert Song" at Civic Light
Opera.
She also enjoys costume design and has her own company, Seventh
Child Productions, which specializes in Renaissance wear.
